Additions and renovations on the Claysburg Kimmel Junior and Senior High School began in March 2003 and were completed August 2004. The school also has a new auxiliary gymnasium with bleachers, a spacious library, a new band room, and a new chorus room. There are multiple classrooms, as well as computer, business, and science labs, and a new addition to the roof. New lockers were added the ground floor on both sides of hallways, as well as a new display case in one of the conference rooms.
