Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. was responsible for the concrete package for the Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Building. Our contract entailed creating the building’s footers, pile caps, cast-in-place foundation walls, concrete slabs-on-grade and concrete slabs-on-deck. LSF completed 194,500 square feet of new construction and the building is anticipated to receive a Gold LEED Rating upon completion. The Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Building will have 6 floors with multiple laboratories and offices and a supporting mechanical penthouse/mezzanine area. The building is scheduled to open in 2019. The building will also hold classrooms, lecture halls, student commons areas and house the departments of Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
