Crews rehabilitated an existing water treatment facility and created a new sewage treatment plant for this correctional facility in northern Pennsylvania. Two new water storage tanks were erected and foundation remediation work was completed for the water treatment facility. The new sewer system has a new control building, a new treatment area with blowers, sequencing batch reactor, pre-equalizer tank, digesters, steel storage tank with concrete foundation and slab and four sand filters. The previous water treatment equipment stayed online during renovations until new operations could be turned on, and then crews demolished the previous water tank. A new utility road, sidewalks and small parking lot were also created for the project.
