Bedford area community members were anxious to connect the Omni Bedford Springs Hotel to the downtown Bedford walking district. Earthwork and paving operations were completed without disturbing the surrounding wetlands and a golf course. The Heritage Trail features two custom bridges, a switchback, and a path that winds up a hillside near downtown. The trail also runs along the edge of the Bedford Elks Club and Golf Course and historic outbuildings for the Omni Bedford Springs, giving visitors tremendous views.
