Earthen ponds were demolished for 1900 linear feet of concrete fish raceways. A system collects and treats waste from the fish, including a pump station with 6 inch diameter grinder pumps into a treatment facility. Treated by a ballasted flocculation system inside, clean water is pumped back out and sludge is pumped into a 40 foot diameter storage tank. The pre-engineered metal building houses all treatment equipment, controls, and monitoring electronics. Remote oversight is provided to the administration building with use of fiber optics. Interconnecting pipe two feet wide was installed in depths up to 12 feet to transfer water from the upper raceway to the lower raceway. Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. established well points to dewater. Vertical turbine pumps outside of the oxygen injection building saturate the water with oxygen and into the raceways with side-stream injection.
