A unique partnership with Penn State University and the Scholar Hotel has brought new life to the historic Nittany Lion Inn.  Originally built in 1932, this Georgian-style hotel has served the community for decades and is in the university’s historic district designation.  The renovation protects the storied history and spirit of the Nittany Lion Inn, but also reimagines what it could be.  Renovations lightly expand the number of guest rooms to 234 rooms instead of 223. All rooms will be refreshed to provide modern, first-class accommodations. There are also many places to eat, drink, and gather at the hotel, which has lovingly been referred to as Penn State’s living room. The renovated Nittany Lion Inn will include the stately 1855 Lounge, a breakfast room, Triplett’s bar, a cafe, and restaurant. Work also includes bringing in more natural light and preserving the building’s exterior.
