Founder’s Hall, constructed in 1878 has served as “The Heart of Juniata” College for more than a century. Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. was selected for the renovation and expansion of this historic building that is the College’s signature building. Condemned two decades ago, the roof, 3rd, and 4th floors required extensive structural modifications while preserving the historic integrity of the structure. With the diligent consideration of green building principles and close coordination with the design team, the project was awarded a LEED Gold certification, one level better than specified.
