Altoona Lung Disease Center of Central Pennsylvania is a two-story, 15,000 square foot medical office building located on the corner of Chestnut Avenue and 8th Street in Altoona, PA. This was a Design/Build project for Leonard S. Fiore, Inc., and the project cost $3.6 million. The facility houses the offices for Altoona Lung Specialists as well as space for equipment such as a CT scan area, a sleep study lab, and other diagnostic tools. Four doctors currently lead the practice and treat patients at the facility. The project began in October 2009 with the demolition of an existing warehouse building that was located on the property. Excavation for the new building began in April 2010 and the construction of the new building was completed and turned over to the owner in April 2011.
